PTPTN if abolished

This is what I think will happen if PTPTN is abolished and free education for every students..

1. All IPTS will be closed down. Only public universities still exist since only the government will be offering free education.

2. Lecturers from IPTS will be out of jobs since their IPTS are closed down. The number of unemployment will be increased. Public universities cannot absorb these lecturers since they do not have money to pay these lecturers.

3. There will be no or less grants for lecturers from public universities to carry out researches.
The quality of education will drop. No local or overseas exposures for these lecturers, so the education level will stagnant, no new things will be taught to the students.

4. Students will take it easy and a long time to finish their studies since education is free. There is no hurry and this will prevent new students from entering the university. So a lot of dropouts. More problems since higher unemployment rates.

5. Less students will enter universities since only education is free but not the living expenses. Only those who can afford will enter the universities. Those who are poor will lag behind. The poor will stay poor and the rich will stay rich. Only with education the poor can become rich.

6. If the government pays for living costs, individual income tax will be very high. That's where the government gets the revenue.

7. Petronas...a short term solution. Petronas will bleed to death...then what?

PTPTN will be established again....the cost will be expensive. No more Petronas money to pump in..only the banks and the interest won't be at 3% it will be at 10 - 12%  .  Very few families can afford to send their kids to university even with PTPTN..but the damage has been done...due to short sightedness of our politicians.
