May Allah has mercy on us
It used to be only the two of us, my husband and I. I have voted almost all the time. During the last election, I voted for the person...not the party. Just to teach the government a lesson or two. My husband did not vote at all. GE12 ...the outcome was disastrous. A few of my friends did the same too..to teach the government but all of us did not want the government to lose in the 5 states. We only wanted to reduce the number of votes.
So this time around, the GE13 will see me , my husband and my 3 adult children at the polls centres. We will exercise our rights as the citizens of Malaysia. I love my country very much and I have the choice of a stable country or otherwise...
I used to be a very big fan of AI , i have followed his trials closely, his interviews etc etc etc. To me, he had not answered important questions directly. A simple answer of ' I am not a gay/bisexual' is enough for me than evading the questions. What had he done to stop the BNM forex scandal when he was in the position to do so? He was the finance minister during that time...( which was conveniently undisclosed by PAS economic advisor). Whatever being said during that forum has been made known in the newspapers long ago. Why discredit a dead man when he was in no position to defend himself? Both of the accused had resign from BNM. If Noor Mohammed had been asked to serve the government again...the government must have seen something good in him. I believed in rezeki Allah yang beri.
In this few months, I have let myself into the social medias just to gain some insights in the political scenes. I do not like what I read or seen. Too much profanities. Too much hatred.
It is just so sad..we Malaysian do not have the maturity of some of the westerners. It is okay to disagree, it is okay to have different ideology, it is okay to have our own opinions. However...it is not okay to impose our ideology to others, to stab back....to badmouth others to say hurtful things just to gain power. That's just not acceptable.
I call upon all Malaysians to open up your hearts and minds. See good in others. Our prophet saw prohibits us from saying bad things about others eventhough it's the truth. If we have sinned Allah, we can ask forgiveness from him since Allah is most merciful. But if we have sinned others, Allah can only forgive us after the others have forgiven us.
May Allah has mercy on all of us Malaysians
