Aku Janji versus Manifesto

I have read The Star, Utusan Malaysia, Suara Keadilan, Harakahdaily, the blogs and almost every possible links related to these two issues.

I must say there are similarities between the two. I am a rakyat..... who would not be happy if the price of fuel will be reduced, electricity tariff be reduced, PTPTN is abolished, jobs will be created, more affordable houses for the masses, price of the cars will be reduced etc etc etc...

But at what price...when I asked my daughter about the PTPTN, her answer was, I applied for the loan, I signed the agreement to payback so I will keep my part of the agreement. She's paying RM350     a month after working more than two years. Before that it was my husband who service the loan.

I would be happy to see the electricity bill cut to a few dollars. My family has a very high electricity bills due to the high usage of airconditioning units. To me, when I used it I will pay for it. The only way to reduce the electricity bills is to throw away all the airconditioners away but Sarah will go bonkers and everbody in the family suffers when Sarah goes bonkers. In the house, she has a huge say where airconditioning and food are concerned. You would not like her when she is hot and hungry. Other than that she is a very doting daughter.

The price of fuel doesn't make a huge impact in my life. I only use the car to send my children to school and tuition. A trip to the supermarket that is nearby also doesn't make a huge dent in my pocket. A RM50 for fuel for more than two weeks supply is all I need. My husband's fuel charges will be paid by the company. We often use the LRT for our transportation purpose. So it doesn't matter if the price of petrol is high. Most rakyats use the motorcycles to travel to and from work eventhough they have cars.

I would like very much the government to develop more affordable houses for the masses. I have five children and one day they will need to have their own houses for their family. Houses are too expensive to own. Developers are making tons of money at the expense of people. Worst still some of the developers abandon their projects and the buyers suffer. Blacklist both the companies and the individuals and their families from doing business ever again. Sounds harsh...no it is not harsh when you think of the hardships and monies involved. These people are greedy and if I have my way...they should be shot by the firing squad. Then no developers will swindle the buyers. Both the AkuJanji and the manifesto mentioned affordable houses. BN has started the PR1MA projects...Penang sold the land meant for low cost houses to a 'hospital'., Selangor sold a formerly low cost house sites for a high end condos that Malaysians couldn't afford, Kedah made a requirement of 50% must be sold to Malays etc etc etc. Who will I choose? BN or PR?

Where cheaper price of cars is concerned,

...I for one do not know the difference from one brand of car to another. When I was young, a friend of mine asked me what car he was driving, I answered Datsun...he was quite offended and told me it was an Alfa Romeo. If people can be color blind I can be car blind too. Too me all cars are the same, it is just a mode of transportation. If cars are a lot cheaper, I would not be buying too because there is no space to park them either at home or the shopping centres or at the LRT stations. Pollution will be higher since many more will own cars since the fuel price will be low right....and the traffic congestions will be unimaginable . Nobody will use the public transport anymore. Oh...what a chaos.....

What I would like to be included in both manifestoes,
For the politicians to say good things if the opposite sides had done a good job. If not, give contructive suggestions so better things can be done.

For the supporters to refrain from saying bad things , bad words when the opposites have different opinions from yours.

To stop campaigning as soon as the polling day is over. I have had enough ....enough said.

Is it too much to ask?
