Hospital Ampang

I bet many rakyats have used the klinik 1Malaysia services. I too have used them. Do they provide good services? You betcha. I had a doctor attending to my problems. You see I sufferred from frozen shoulders a very painful conditions. The doctor immediately wrote a letter to the Hospital Ampang ( this after asking me which hospital is conveniently located near my place)

Of course it took quite sometimes for me to make an appointment to see the orthopaedics. I won't complain since I paid only RM5 for this service. Mind you I have incurred a lot more when I saw the private practitioners. Rm5 for x-rays, medications and diagnoses...no wonder everybody likes to go to the government hospitals.

I was referred to the rehabilitation centre. For a mere RM5 too, the therapists worked on my shoulders for more than 2 hours. The treatments included heat treatment, ultrasound treatment, microwaves treatment and all sort of exercises inclusive of joint mobilisation exercises. They made sure I did all the exercises there and then knowing most of these makciks cheated when they are at home. I did this weekly and this meant I paid only RM20 for eight hours of treatment a month. In between, I saw the orthos for progressive diagnoses.

I am cured from my frozen shoulders after almost 1 and a half years of treatment. I spent less than RM400 for all the treatments. Where else can I get such treatments from the private hospitals at such low price? The doctors are first class, the therapists are first class and the treatments are first class. If they cannot offer me a better medication, they adviced me to buy from the pharmacies.

I am one of those who used to go to the private healthcare hospitals for any minor illnesses. I thought the government hospitals are shoddy and the services are lousy and slow. Slow they maybe because of the huge number of patients but then if you make an appointment you don't have to wait for too long. I'm talking about Hospital Ampang only.
